Bula from Fiji.
On a beautifully clear weekend, we packed up the family for a little road trip.
Our destination was the Kula Wild Adventure Park, located about an hour and a half's drive from Nadi.
We had been wanting to visit this park ever since our previous stay at the Outrigger Hotel right across the road, but we didn't have enough time back then.
Since the weather was so perfect, we decided to head out for a nice weekend drive.
The scenery rolling past the car windows looked a bit different than usual.
Fiji has officially entered the dry season, so the mountains aren't as lush and green right now—instead, they show a beautiful gradient of dry, earthy brown.
Driving through the crisp, dry air while watching the landscape change was such a wonderful and refreshing time.

The moment we stepped inside the park, we were surrounded by an untouched Fijian jungle.
It doesn't feel like a structured zoo built by humans; rather, it’s a place where they kept the island's raw nature intact and simply placed wooden boardwalks through it.
Looking up, an overwhelming variety of plants are growing with incredible life and energy.

Walking under the trees felt so cool and refreshing, making us completely forget the heat outside.
It was wonderful to enjoy a casual stroll while soaking in all the beautiful greenery and lovely flowers in bloom.

Inside the park, we got to see native Fijian iguanas and snakes up close and even touch them.

It feels like a little bird sanctuary where you can enjoy watching all kinds of tropical birds.

Beyond the woodland wildlife, there was also a large pool for sea turtles.
They offer a hands-on experience where you can feed fish directly to them.
Since the kids rarely get a chance to feed sea turtles, they were deeply focused and had so much fun doing it.

After enjoying the nature trails, the kids headed straight for the water splash area .
With a zipline and a long jungle water slide, it’s a fantastic spot for them to play freely right in the middle of nature.
Just listening to their bright laughter as they splashed around brought a big smile to my face.

By the way, the canopy boardwalk had quite a few stairs, so it ended up being a really good workout for the adults too.
It was a beautiful day fully recharged by the cool shade and rich greenery.
On the way home, the children were completely exhausted from all the adventures and fell fast asleep in the back seat.
Watching their peaceful faces, it was a wonderful weekend record of soaking in Fiji’s beautiful nature with all our senses.
