Bula.
It’s been such a long time since my last note.
I hope you’ve all been doing well.
Here in Fiji, we’re slowly transitioning from the cooler winter months into summer. The days are beginning to feel warmer, and little by little, we can feel summer making its way back.
Lately, I’ve been spending quite a bit of time preparing for a new project, which has kept me busy and meant that I haven’t been able to update this space as often as I would have liked.
I’ll be sure to share more about the new project here once the time is right and I’m able to introduce it to you all.
Now, onto something a little more relaxing.
Last weekend, I had such a lovely time at the beach market held at the Crowne Plaza.
The market usually has a DJ playing music and a lively atmosphere, but this weekend was a little different.
A live band was there, playing beautiful music for about two hours as the sun slowly set over the ocean.
The weather was absolutely perfect.
Sitting by the beach, listening to live music, watching the sunset, and feeling the gentle breeze…
There was nowhere else I needed to be.
It was one of those simple moments that reminded me just how special everyday life in Fiji can be.
When life gets busy, it’s easy to feel like we always need to be doing something. But sometimes, there is something wonderful about simply sitting back, listening to music, watching the sunset, and letting the moment unfold.
Perhaps those quiet, unplanned moments are a kind of luxury in themselves.
As Fiji slowly makes its way into summer, I’m looking forward to sharing more little moments from everyday life here with you.
Until next time.
Vinaka vakalevu.
