Experiencing Fiji in the Heart of Japan
The Asia Charity Bazaar, a vibrant event led by embassies from across Asia and the Pacific, brought together cultures, people, and traditions from around the region.
Among the participating countries, Fiji showcased its unique charm to visitors in Japan.
Sharing Fiji’s Natural Lifestyle

At the event, the Embassy of Fiji in Japan led the participation, while Fiji Time Japan handled the sales of Fijian products.
The booth featured a variety of items rooted in Fiji’s natural lifestyle — from rum to coconut-based products — all reflecting a close connection to nature.
Visitors were seen stopping by, picking up products, and engaging with curiosity.
A Strong Match with Japan’s Natural & Mindful Trends
Fijian products are simple, natural, and story-driven.
At the bazaar, many visitors showed strong interest in products that align with a more conscious way of living — choosing items that are good for the body and meaningful in origin.
This response highlighted something important:
Fiji’s lifestyle and products naturally resonate with the growing demand in Japan for organic, sustainable, and story-rich goods.
Beyond Products: Sharing Stories Through Media

In addition to product sales, Bula Fiji Magazine was also distributed at the booth.
Many visitors who picked it up expressed reactions like
“I didn’t know Fiji was like this” or “Now I want to visit.”
It became clear that while products can spark interest,
stories are what deepen connection and inspire action.
The Growing Potential of Fiji in Japan
Fiji is still relatively unknown in many aspects beyond tourism.
However, this event showed that there is already a strong foundation of interest.
By combining products, culture, and storytelling,
Fiji’s presence in international markets — including Japan — has significant room to grow.
